“HR Transformation, Planning for the Upturn in 2010” Seminar was held in Hilton Shanghai on Dec 4, 2009. About 100 HR managers from every walk of life were gathering there to communicate and share experience about advanced concepts in human resources management.

Accor has launched a new corporate website that showcases:
- The strategic priorities of its Hotels and Services businesses
- Its corporate social responsibility commitments
- A careers section
- A presentation of the Group’s extensive brand portfolio
The 600-page site features videos, podcasts, 16:9 slideshows, interactive flash animations and other multimedia content to make browsing more intuitive and user-friendly.
Customers account for 36% of the site’s 300,000 monthly visitors and job seekers 34%. To ensure broad access, the website integrates special functions for the blind and vision-impaired.
Key changes to the overhauled site include a calendar of corporate and brand events and the possibility of converting Web pages to PDF format and subscribing to thematic RSS feeds. Other features will soon be added, including a glossary, a multimedia library, a basket for stocking and downloading data and an e-mail notification system for receiving company news alerts.
From a technical standpoint, this is the first time Accor has chosen to deploy a TYPO3 Open Source content management system.

On 25th June, 2009, “Health & Personal Protection Benefits Management” Seminar was held by Accor Services China at Shanghai Hongqiao Grand Mercure Hotel.
Under the current circumstance, most HR seminars focus on the topic of “How to react in the economic crisis”, the theme about the management of employee benefit and employees’ protection-type welfare, as well as the emergency service strategies of HR under the crisis of H1N1 viruses are standing out. They have attracted many HR professions from large and medium-sized enterprises. The seminar focused on the themes on employers’ health management, health benefits, health protection-type welfare plan, management experience of excellent enterprise abroad, and how to effectively control costs, etc. It brought to the attendees the latest ideas from various angles, with the case studies in real life.

Invited by CCIFC, Mr. Johann Suchon, Deputy General Manager of Accor Services China in charge of Accentiv’ Surfgold Shanghai presented the CRM training on June 18.
The theme focused on “CRM (Customer Relationship Management): An adequate marketing solution for downturn?”
The training included presentation of both theoretical and real-life application in China of several CRM best practices. It provided the attendees with a whole around understanding of CRM for both B2B and B2C businesses, and gave tips and advises on the possible CRM strategies applicable on the China market during downturn time.
The training was attended by the managers of CRM, Marketing, Brand, Sales, Business Development, from all industries having to deal with clients in China like FMCG, Automotive, High Tech, Luxury and Hospitality, etc.

The Creation of Accor's First Training Centre in China
On April 15, in the presence of Accor Co-founder, Mr Paul Dubrule, and Chendgu Mayor Mr Ge Honglin, Accor opened a new training academy in Chengdu, China reflecting the Group's reinforced commitment to develop employee skills.
The creation of Accor's first training centre in China is aimed at teaching international service standards at the Group's Chinese hotels.
Robert Murray, Executive Vice-President of Accor Hospitality in China, commented: "Accor is rapidly expanding in China. “HR Strategies in Navigating the Economic Downturn “Seminar was held in Siwssotel Grand Shanghai on April 10, 2009. About 160 human resources managers from every walk of life were gathering together to communicate and shared experience about advanced concepts in human resources management.

Accor and MasterCard Create a Strategic Alliance
10 February 2009, Accor Services and MasterCard Europe announced a strategic alliance resulting in the creation of a new company, PrePay Solutions. The joint venture makes Accor Services the majority shareholder at 67 percent, while MasterCard Europe holds a 33 percent stake in the company.
This historic agreement is the first of its kind in the prepaid sector. It is particularly strategic as it will enable PrePay Solutions to respond quickly to very fast-growing demand from businesses and retail chains. With this agreement, PrePay Solutions is now positioned as a major player in the value-added prepaid market, a sector in which Accor Services will strengthen its leadership and capacity for innovation in the coming years.

Forbes has announced a research in January, 2009 on "100 Corporations that will survive 100 years", among which Accor Group was listed with honor.
This research is conducted by Innovest Strategic Value Advisors. It is not a ranking. It looks only at AAA-rated corporations that can be considered models of sustainability, and they are picked to cover a broad range of industries. 2008 Global Service Outsourcing Summit
On July 22, 2008, 2008 Global Service Outsourcing Summit successfully convened at Sofitel Shanghai Hyland, jointly organized by Xinhua News Agency, Shanghai Bureua, News & Information Center, Shanghai WTO Affairs Consultation Center, Shanghai Services Federation and Accor Services China. Nearly 200 senior officials and executives from government, associations, acadamic institutions, local and international enterprises witnessed the grand event.
With the rapid development of global service outsourcing and the huge potential it entails, China is now seeing service outsourcing as a new vehicle to develop its economy. The summit focuses on how companies in China and especially in Shanghai could operate in current global outsourcing environment and what strategies service outsourcing companies could take.

Accor Services China’s Donation to Red Cross on Sichuan Earthquake
On the afternoon of May 12, 2008, the 8.0 earthquake hit Sichuan Province in Southwest China with more than 55,000 people dead and over 1million people homeless.
On May 15, to give necessary support to the suffered population following Accor Group’s CSR spirit, Accor Services China organized a voluntary donation activity in both Beijing and Shanghai. All the employees actively participated and the donated amount was sent to the Red Cross in the respective city the day after.

Earth Guest Day 2008 at Accor Services China
“Earth Guest Day” is the day represents the climax of all the sustainable development actions carried out by worldwide employess under Accor Group. It advocates ecological and energy conservation activities, involving employees and clients to enhance the social awareness and symbolize sustainable development. The first “Earth Guest Day” of Accor Group spread 69 countries with the participation of 100,000 employees.
By the theme of “Caring for the Earth & Caring for the Children”, Accor Services China organized an internal sale together with Go4Gold program, on the purpose of the charity donation to Shanghai PuDong Special Education School. About 120 employees under Accor Services China participated Earth Guest 2008.

A series of activities mainly included two climaxes:
ECO—Waste
On April 22, an internal sale and donation event was held in the company.
The recycle articles had been collected from the colleagues for the internal sale. In the view of the environment protection, “No Paper” or “The Recycled Paper” was advocated throughout the activity. With the active participation from all colleagues, we contributed our love on the earth and on the children as well.

EGO program—Child Protection
On April 25, a charity donation event was organized at Shanghai PuDong Special Education School, which is a school especially for the disabled children on mentally or physically. All of the revenue from the internal sale was contributed to this school. Besides the donation, 5 delegates took part in the 10 minutes’ class meeting with those children to exchange with them on Earth Guest Day, in which way seeding the love to the heart of each disabled child.

3rd China Human Resource Management Award Summit 2008 (CEHRA) was held in Beijing on April 12th-13th, organized by China Enterprise Evaluation Association (CEEA). The 6th Customer Management Forum was successfully held at InterContinental Pudong Shanghai on March 28, 2008, organized by GCCRM, a celebrated consulting company. Accentiv' (China) witnessed this forum together with other 100 senior executives and representatives from various industries.

Accor Yanqing Charity Sports Event 2007 Successfully Held in Shanghai
On Dec 22nd, 2007, Accor Yanqing Charity Sports Event 2007 was successfully held in Shanghai. Following Accor Yanqing Charity Football Tournament 2006, the second group charity event attracted eight teams’ active participation from Accor China including Accor Services and Accor hotels.
This charity event obtained the full the support from the high management of the Accor Group China as well as the related functions. With the high enthusiasm, 30 team players from each department of Accor Services China participated the charity event, which included five sports programs on Table Tennis, Badminton, Stair-climbing, Running and Tug-of-war. As a result, the excellent performance was drawn by Accor Services China, with the championship on Women’s Running, the Runner-up on Table Tennis, the 3rd Winner on Stair-climbing. The players away from Beijing were involved as well. More than a sports event, all the participants and the cheering squad contributed the charity donation to Yanqing Hope School.
